Where matter
becomes life.
Inside his workshop, an artisan entrusts liquid matter to movement and time. Thirty minutes later, a form appears that did not exist before: this is where the artisan becomes an artist.
Witness the birth ↓01 / The two shells
Everything begins
inside a closed mould.
Two handcrafted halves are carefully prepared and closed around liquid fibreglass resin. At this moment, nothing resembles AILOVO yet. There is only matter, an enclosed space and the knowledge of the artisan.
The mould is placed inside an orbital casting machine. What follows remains hidden from view.
The form is not assembled.
It is born whole.
02 / The orbit
Thirty minutes
in motion.
The mould turns continuously, like a small planet suspended in space. Inside it, the resin travels across every surface, finds its balance and slowly becomes solid.
When the movement stops and the mould is opened, there are no pieces waiting to be joined. A single continuous, hollow and hermetically sealed body has appeared.
03 / The first magic
A body without seams.
Matter takes form through movement, time and the artisan’s hands.
The shell is born whole and finished by hand: no two surfaces will ever be identical.
04 / The hidden heart
Beauty continues
where sight ends.
Within AILOVO’s hermetic body, a mechanism comes to life, made by hand from materials rooted in fine craftsmanship, such as brass and tin—chosen for their qualities and their ability to endure through time.
Each element is worked, soldered and assembled with the care of jewellery-making. A system of levers transforms matter into movement and guards the moment when each journey reaches its fulfilment.
Only when the heart meets the shell does AILOVO receive its number—and become one alone.
05 / Two openings · One journey
It enters from above.
It is released from the heart.
At the top, a gentle press receives every coin. Beneath AILOVO, the numbered base conceals the second opening.
When it is full, the brass levers open the base and release every coin: the journey is complete.
The challenge is not against someone else.
It is between you and what you can become.
06 / The exhibition journey
Before the artwork,
everything it required.
One table after another: resin, fibreglass, the first shell, brass, paints and trials.
Each material revealed part of its birth. Only at the end did AILOVO appear.
To understand the artwork, one first had to cross the journey that gave it form.
